Hello I just wanted to say I bought a 2005 Silverwing FSC600 from a Harley Dealer that had less than 6000 miles on it! First let me say I am 65 years and went to sell my 2009 Harley to the dealer as it is not as easy to shift gears anymore as it was when I started riding motorcycles back in 1970. I had been reading about the automatic Honda motorcycles for around ten years and have wondered what it was like to ride one of them. I have owned a Honda PC800 and rode it through Glacier National Park and it was a fantastic experience and believed it to be the perfect motorcycle for me. Now after riding Harleys for years I went to hang up my helmet and sell the Harley. I never imagined there would be a shiny low mile Silverwing for sale in the Harley dealership! I had to try it out and see what an automatic felt like. I was impressed at the acceleration and it felt weird not pulling in the clutch or shifting as I slowed down but it was smooth as warm butter and quick trade in of my Harley and Keys for my Honda and some cash back from the trade. I am glad I made the switch, the SWING is perfect for this chapter in my life!

Welcome TomO Automatic is so much simpler to ride and easier on body parts. It's not slow or fast but a great ride ride that will pass a few Harleys in the winding roads. Much great info here and good advice on repairs or maintenance. It will take you as far as your butt can handle.

Welcome TomO to the BEST SWing site on the net.

Yup, the SWing is a pretty nice bike. It has the power to cruise Interstates and back roads. And a lot better mileage than my pickup...
If you need help with anything just use the Search box at the top left or ask. Most maintenance items can be done at home. I have an 08 SWing that I had triked out 3 years ago and have no regrets.

Welcome TomO,
I also recently sold my 1200 Sportster Custom because I was having a heck of time getting my leg over the old gal. I had be thinking of getting a maxi and was deciding between a Bergman or a Swing. Found a Swing in Colorado with 6400 miles on it and boy am I glad I got the Swing. Does all I want it to do and I’m doing all the basic maintenance myself as it’s not to hard to work on.
Great choice on both our parts!
