| Thanx for starting-up this great site!
I've learned so much from this site (silverwing600.com), silverwing.org, and maxi-scoots.com.
I've ordered a new 2009 Silverwing ABS model and hope to take delivery within a few months - whenever they begin to show-up in New England.
Are there any other Silverwing ABS owners out there; I'm curious about owners' thoughts on the ABS model.
I would also like to know how/where Silverwing ABS model owners have installed the Stebel Nautilus Compact dual-note horn. (I've used this horn on another bike previously and would like to use it on my new SW.)
Thanx in advance for your help. |

The ABS saved me (and felt it) several times ... just to name a few 1) Slowing down on non-visible loose gravel almost like stopping on tiny marbles with my wife on the back The gravel completely shifted under my foot when I stopped
2) Low water crossing damp with a non-visible slime
Personally I would not purchase one without ABS.

The second picture shows how I modified the Stebel Nautilus mount. The third picture shows the Stebel Nautilus installed ... if you look carefully at the left and left bottom of the Stebel Naultilus you will see the ABS equipment._________________ Bill - Georgetown TX 07 Silver Wing ABS Clearview w/vent, Givi E96/TB19/E52 with Admore Lighting, Alaskan Leather, Wrist Rests, 3M Solas tape, K&N air, Hyperpro spring, Grip Puppies, Airhawk, Utopia backrest, Stebel, Apexcone HIDs, StingerZ LEDs (w/Backoff WigWag), Knight Rider Sequential LED, NGK Iridium, Power Commander III, Manic Salamander, Saeng mirrors, Garmin Zumo 660, Dark-Side Sumitomo Tire

| I have a 2007 Swing (ABS) and my wife a 2003 without ABS. I know for a fact I would never get another anything without it. So far I have never needed it, but I like the idea that maybe the backend will stay there if I ever have to lock the brakes. |
