Not really new.

Hey folks!

I'm not really new to this forum but more of a returning guest. I was on before but not very "active" but I'm planning on changing that.

I sold my Swing last fall and have been kicking myself in the rear ever since. So I pulled the trigger on my 3rd purchase last Saturday.

I have a local dealer that opened going on 2 years ago and they've had a Silverwing in their showroom from day 1 that no one was taking an interest in. So they made me a very good deal and it found it's way into my home.

Starting on some mods now and hope to post pictures as I progress.

These scooters look so nice without a top box on them. When I bought my last Silverwing(the 07) it didn't have a top box on it and I thought about not putting one on. After a few days I decided it's just too handy having a top box and I put a bigger one on than I have on my 08 Wing. I almost never drive my car so the top box is important. I need some filters for my air conditioner and I'm having a hard time finding them by the case. Everyone sells them either in a three pack or singly and it is hard to strap down filters that are not in a cardboard box.

No worries Roger. I had a top box on my last Swing and your are right.

I didn't mind the look of the bike as long as I had my cortech saddlebags on along with the top box.

But without the saddlebags I didn't like the look.

I think I'm going to forgo the top box this time. At least for now.
