added 600w amped stereo with blue tooth. 10" wide floor-mats, luggage box with back rest, side boxes, LOTS of LED lights, cup holders, just tuned it up, after the debacle of smashing the gears in the gearbox, new belt, Tires, oil, spark plugs.
If all that stuff makes riding down the road NO BUFFETING, probably worth it. How much weight added? High speed Handling?
But in my book it appears to not be ridden a lot----any stuff ever fall of/blow off? And no front fenderl big mud flap----ride a lot, they keep crud off.
My experience with 2 new SilverWings and over 90,000 miles----buffeting and no hand protection big draw back on long bad weather trips.
As older rider, I find SilverWing with weight bias to rear/top heavy a little prone to tip over in parking lot stuff.
I see lots of effort to make mods.

the hand gards are made from 1/4 rubber i just attached them and sealed them, cut them the way i was happy with, i first used thin plastic and a 4' shop fan and smoke and did wind dynamic testing along with the windshield i cut it down and added a wind shier directional add on 4 inch wind deflector, reason was in rain i could not see less than 30 feet in front of me so i included that in the wind testing along with the extra wide floor boards, after i was happy with the design [after much cutting and re cutting] i used the plastic pattern on the rubber, and used self taping screws and sealed em up,
absolutely zero buffeting, hands stay dry and warm; the wind shear is 3 inches above my helmet and about the same on the sides and the wife has very little wind buffeting on her, yes LOTS of work to basically redesign the Wing lol,
as for weight the Wing cant tell any difference, mileage went down from 75 to 50 but who cares about that we ride because we hate enclosed travel. i avg 300+ miles a week mostly country road joy riding,
i am not done with it, next is to re fabricate the dash area to include the hand gards
only thing thats fell off was a cup when we hit a bump.
the 600w stereo is really LOUD
http://prntscr.com/ktdj3p what it looked like when i brought it home dealership what was they thinking with that windshield thats why i cut it down.
http://prntscr.com/ktdkob still needs trim over the screws
http://prntscr.com/ktdkyn notice the conture of the windshield
http://prntscr.com/ktdlum new light bulbs time.
http://prntscr.com/ktdmi3 had to install an 1/8" x 6x14 sheet metal to the main frame tubing then used screws to secure the floor mats and sealed em in.

Great mods! And on a Swing with modifications, unlike other bikes, you can actually hear your music.
Art, utility, and craftsmanship.

Enjoy your mods and remember you made them to improve YOUR ride. And you actually put some miles on it so more power to you! Thanks for the info.
