| Just purchased 2012 silverwing with 550 miles from a local dealer. I also own a 2007 yamaha 400 majesty, 1999 honda helix, and a 2006 honda ruckus. Just sold a 2004 honda st1300 and 2010 can am spyder. I have been riding for 44 years and never with out a bike of somekind, i have owned over40 different motorcycles but at age 60 i am now a scooter addict and own 4 at this time. I must say the silverwing is taking some getting used to and i feel at this point it is kind of a disappointment. 5 years ago i owned a 650 burgman for a couple years and i must admit i do not think the swing is in the same class. The burg had so much more power, was much smother running and had better wind protection and ride quality. But i bought the wing and i am trying to make the best of it. I have added a givi airflow windsheild which helped alot as did removing the butt pad and adding a rider backrest i had off the st1300 which i custom fitted. Also added a givi monokey mount and a v40 monokey top trunk. When i compare this scooter to the majesty i do not see much benefit actually, But i am hopeing the wife will one day be riding the majesty, she currently rides the helix on occasion. I do feel the helix is probably the last one of bunch that i would ever get rid of. Thanks for letting me join i hope to learn from this forum and contribute when ever i can. Longrider |

| If I was to add another steed, I'd go for a Honda Big Ruckus. On the other hand, I'm holding out for the Honda Bulldog concept bike to make it into production and North America. longrider, I got my first SWing, a 2005 with low miles because the deal was too good to pass up. It took me a while to feel totally comfortable with it. When I saw my current 2007 with low miles and a great price I snapped it up. Great bike. I am confident yours will grow on you ! Welcome to the best SWing site. Jay. |

| Longride Getting off an ST1300 nothing is going to feel right especially going to a scooter style bike. Like comparing my BMW K1600 to my SW lol. Tried Burgmans and yes wider and heavier. The SW is still a balance between motorcycle and scooter. the Burgmans are a fat a** bike. |

| Welcome from Seattle.
Perhaps a little buyer's remorse?
Should not compare the second wife to the first wife.
Give the Silverwing a chance and it will win your heart. It is not a Burgman, Reflex or a Helix replacement. |

| Welcome from one NC resident to another. I found the airflow windshield doesn't protect as much as the non adjustable givi windshield. I still prefer my airflow since I do like some breeze as well as the flexibility for adjustment when the rain comes. I think I still have my other givi in the garage if you'd like to experiment. |
