PostSubject: Movin on up!   Sat Oct 10, 2015 8:51 pm

Just upgraded to a 2012 Silver Wing. Been riding a 2009 SYM HD200 for 4 years which I still love. Wanted something bigger for cruising. Been watching this and the Burgman forum. I'm all about dependability, that's why I'm here. The SWing has only 4,100 mi., 214 DT windshield, Givi Monokey top case, don't know what model. Also with brake light kit and back rest pad. It has a bracket that raised the butt rest up to a back rest/w padding covering the bolts. Fits me perfectly. I'm 6' 2" and all legs. Will probably cut down windshield next spring. Not a big fan the way top cases look, but since it came with the bike I'm not taking it off. Been using it everyday. The only thing I'll probably add is a Brakeaway cruise control. (Safety first) Bought the bike earlier this week and have been loving it.

Hi Bill and welcome to the best S/W forum on either side of the pond. Most anything you ever wanted to know about your S/W has been brought up here. My S/W has been out your way the last two years and made it back. Remember always ride like they don't see you. Howard

Hi Bill and welcome.
You've got a great combination there - the Sym for local trips and the Silverwing for further afield.
Hope you love the Silverwing as much as you have the Sym.
Keep safe and have fun.

Wow, thanks guys for the the warm welcome! Hope to have the SWing for many years. Love to go out a piddle with it. I can do minor maintenance, that's why I went with the SWing.
