Done did it!

Well, the Honda dealer's email arrived late last week.  Closeout deals on various leftover bikes.

One deal jumped out at me.  A brand-new 2013 Silver Wing for only $5995?  Really?

Was thinking of selling my 1995 Kawasaki police bike, as I want only one "old" bike at a time and the '71 R75/5 is a keeper.

Traded in the Kawasaki and now have a S'wing in the garage, next to the BMW and a PCX150 that my daughter has claimed when she gets her license next year.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone here!

Sounds like you got a great deal. I wonder when the last of those Silver Wings will be gone.

At 5595.$ Id say the pile must be about exhausted. The new 530cc Yamaha w/O ABS sells for 10,400.$ Maxi scooters must cost a lot to produce and the cheap prices aren't going to be repeated any time soon. I mean Honda isn't about to make more of these so to lose money.

Enjoy your great deal and enjoy your new ride. I paid 6499.$ for my new 11' a year or so ago.

If you are looking forward to learning and plan on doing your own maintenance you'll find you can do anything you need or want with the service manual and help from this forum.

Hopefully, now that I have one, the Silver Wings will be all sold out.  Then it'll become a cult bike that I can sell in a few years to fund my daughter's college.

I've had my 08 SWing for two seasons now and love it. It's got just over 24,000 miles on it and runs great.

I paid a total of $1700 for it. I bought it from my sister in FL and trailered it home. A bit of TLC and I'm on the road lovin it.

Welcome, put 200+ more miles on my 05 today loved it all.

I saw a Yammie Touring Scooter photo on U Tube the other day. This monster has 3 cylinders and 750cc. I would wager it has at least 75, maybe more, horsepower. 75 hp would be moderate tune at 1 hp per 10 cc. A Suzuki GiXXER has about 120 hp perhaps a little more. Soooooooo Yammie makes a road rocket masked as a scooter, trouble is maybe it is just a production freak. Another trouble is it isnt a Honda.

You will fit in just fine then. I tried to get rid of 'them there troublemakers' by making them pay big dollars to stay on as a member.....and they paid it. I was hoping they would have said no and left. But at least I'm extremely wealthy now because of their dues.
