Protective Trim

If any of you currently use an adhesive trim on your front cover, what are you using?  I am unable to find any that is big enough and can bend around the curves of the front cover.  Some close up pictures would help.  Thanks...

I'm not sure about the part you are referring to, but I did use the same kind of trim as cars use (door edge guards in half and 3/4 round) on various parts of my bike where it would likely be damaged if it hit or laid down.

I have used a black, reflective tape on the front when I dripped the bike years ago and did not know how to repair it properly and at night with head light on it, it would light up like white reflective tape.
I have a white tape that is on my wheels now that at night pop but during the day you can hardly see.

Last time I tried, it took way to long and I almost blew a cork. :lol!:

The trim you installed on the side of your front cover is what I am looking for.  Were you able to continue the trim all the way down to the floor boards in one single strip?  Did you have to do anything special to the trim to make it hold the curves?

I don't do my own work. Had it done years ago and no longer have that bike so I can't check.
However the shop that did that used rub rail trim found in automotive stores that have adhesive on the back. You just peel off the backing and stick, and yes its flexible enough for curves.

I do not believe the reflective tape is available in long lengths to work for your bike, I never found it.
You can buy the 3-M tape that works great and comes in many different colors and is easy to apply as long as it is not to wide. When it is, it becomes more difficult if not impossible to make the curves come out evenly with out creases showing.
