Metzler Feel Free---Have new matched set of Feel Free on my Burgman 400---same size and part # as SilverWing.

Work ok when FRESH---made in Brazil---now at 3-4000 miles both front and rear are wearing SQUARE---Spent 250 miles in TN mountains they other day----effect is you are cornering on tire edge and of course scooter is always trying to right itself---goofy feeling------does keep cornering speed down.

I rode on some small/narrow/crowned roads and rear likes to climb groves that run in direction of travel----go slow probably not dangerous----awful feeling for experienced rider......car tire on bike people probably would not know difference.

Relating to SilverWing-----Had rear Hoops wear Square and lost crisp handling----fix replace with Honda recommended IRC which wore round.

Have trip to San Diego planned soon--expect these tires to last to 10,000 miles--so no mid trip tire changes

Thanks for the observances, John.

It's been a while since I had IRCs on my scoot, and it was original equipment (and I was new to riding), but I'm pretty sure my rear IRC wore a bit square. I remember thinking the handling had deteriorated, but was clueless (at the time) as to why. New Diablos made it ride fantastic for a while.

The one tire tha claims to be made to wear round is a Michelin Power Pure. It seemed to retain its handling longer, but I got less mileage on it than anything else I've used. If they made both the center and the sides from harder rubber, it would have been an excellent tire.

I Just took off a power pure SC----replaced by the Feel Free----the Power Pure SC went 11,000 miles---wore round/handled well wet or dry---$50 from Dennis Kirk. The SC was out of stock----so I took pair of Feel Free-----stay out of the curves, they run straight well.
Wearing square.
