What a dump!

Before JeffR started this site, Silverwing.org was the place to be.
It was a clearing house of information unrivaled.
I just went over there to look around.
Its as deserted as Chernobyl.
I saw 10 topics started or replied to this YEAR.

Today this site has become the defacto standard for Silverwings worldwide.
It is a function of community that this site has become what it is.
Thank you all for contributing so much.

Since I join this forum I have seen many changes in the way that members are more tolerant to each other and there opinions ,and this forum is the better for it. The spats do make it interesting,up to a point that it don't get personal.

Dan, you really need to change your avitar; it's becoming too real. Other than that, everything is fine.

I go over there every once in awhile and you are right. Very rarely do they get any posts there and I wonder why he even keeps it going. I remember when I started this site and you were the mod over there, and then he got rid of you. I have never understood why John is the way he is.

But I'm glad you came over here. You are one of the most knowledgeable SWing owners around. And the people here are very nice and we all seem to get along well. Although there have been a few cases here and there in the past but overall this is a very friendly site for the SWing.

I know I got him mad when I started this forum and made a post over there about this site. And I know I said this a few times, but the only reason I started this site was because his site and the www.maxi-scoots.com site both went down at the same time and I was concerned they would never come back up again.

I believe the reason all this happened is because the size and popularity of the site exceeded its purpose. What was supposed to be a low cost side project, a demonstration of open source programming for his company, was actually costing him money in terms of traffic levels and storage space, and he felt like the product links and references from other boards were like free advertising for them, which contradicted an advert-free model. To us it was a passion. To him it was a business tool. When it evolved beyond that he couldn't handle it. Anyway, better for you and better for us. Your passion and his shortsightedness were the seeds of growth for this board. so thank you for your vision!
