| I wanted to know if there were any differences in the 2009 and the 2012 other than ABS as a option in 09, and The colors. |

| I have a 2009 and I can't see any noticeable differences between the years. At least cosmetically. Honda seems to take a "if it's not broke, don't fix it" attitude. |

| In my limited experience the difference is about $1500. I chose new for the warranty and to know how the bike is broken-in. |

The asking price for the 2012 is 7849.00 this seems reasonable |

If both are new and under warranty I would let price and possibly color dictate. If memory serves the 09 was available in red while the 12 only comes in black... |

| It seems to me from my own experences and other posts, the speed 'o' error was corrected. My 2011 is right on all the time. At least as I have check it with two gps units etc. My vtx1300r is off 7 mph. |

| Yes, I was pleasantly surprised also when the speedo on mine agreed with the gps. |
