PostSubject: Yerecoin... NE of Perth   Mon May 04, 2009 7:13 am

Sunday 03/05/09 9.00am
Depart East Perth and head out through the eastern suburbs to a place named Toodyay, for morning tea. When we arrived there,a local street fair was well under way. Soon we had to travel onwards towards the yerecoin Tavern for lunch, some 100 kilometers away.
As we have a blanket speed limit of 100 to 110 kmh, we plodded along for few kilometers and the SWing started playing up. First it started mildly surging forward, then in a situation of 1.5 kilometers of straight road with nothing coming the other way it ,all by its own accord, opened up and blasted up to 160 without a single miss or regret. I was so embarassed as it had a will of its own, right past the other bikes making them go all blurry as it passed them. The few coloured hair I still had in the old beard went white as the eyeballs rolled back in my head... WOW!!!
Wresting control back I settled in behind the front group of riders until a strangeers Ducati that was coming up very fast from behind caused the SWing to start up again and it stayed with the Ducati till we reached the lead rider of our group, where I had to bring the Swing back into the fold. The Ducati kept going and was soon out of sight... OH yeah, I digress, we reached the tavern and had a quiet steak sandwich and coke.
Back home via New Norcia , refuel and back to Perth.
All round trip: 420 odd klm
fuel : 1.5 tankfuls of premium
photos: : link to follow when avail.

Fun - fun - fun isn't it? I've been to Wodonga and Yackindandah over in the east part of your country. Great place and such colourful names. Terrific people - so friendly.

Thanks for letting us ride along. I doubt you'll be able to repair that little glitch in the throttle mechanism.
