It is 66f in Atlanta this afternoon and a great time for a ride! There are still piles of leaves and debris on the roads so everyone needs caution in turns and corners, guess it kinda reminds me of icy patches on ski slopes. What a perfect blue sky pm blue sky ride....and its January 24th!! billc.

You'll think I'm nuts, but I was thinking the same about yesterday's afternoon commute, and even this morning's.

Yesterday morning, there was freezing fog out. I couldn't visually tell, but that's what the weatherman said about why all the roads were covered in ice. It was one of the worst commutes I've ever had. I think I was the only one foolish enough in the 30 miles I rode to be on a motorcycle. The afternoon seemed positively balmy at 43F and clear weather. Gosh, it felt good!

And this morning was the beginning of a huge storm system coming into the Pacific Northwest with a large amount of tropical moisture coming over us. The winds were picking up and the rain coming down...but it felt good! No ice!

66F will be nice. We'll see that this summer...
