I just got back from a ride of over 5,000+ miles to visit my brother in Mission, Texas. I rode my 94 Goldwing and it performed very well. This trip could have been done on the Silverwing, but the gear that I took along required a bike that could carry a heavier load. A friend from a different forum rode down from Seattle to Belton Texas, where he rode north to Missouri to visit an ailing friend. I headed south to see the Alamo and visit my brother in Mission TX. (He is snow birding there for the winter) After our respective visits, we met up again in Van Horn, Texas and traveled back to California and then back up to the Pacific Northwest. We camped 60% of the time and stayed with friends and family or motels the remaining. It was an exciting trip.

Neat trip and no doubt challenging with the weather this time of year. Pat and I are heading to the West Coast and who knows where in June. Will be retired then and will stay gone 2-3 months, Lord willing. We will be pulling a camper with an 89 GL1500 that we have had seems like forever...Take care and Merry Christmas....

Here is my campground in Columbus, New Mexico. Lonely highway towards Columbus from El Paso. 100 miles of nothing.
