Welcome Keith. Maybe Bill doesn't realize we have a place in Texas named Notrees. The dogs would be happy to have one tree. Beats the cactus.

Welcome Keith... be sure to avoid that tree with your Silverwing. Enjoy the ride in your area. Stick around and learn from folks all over this country and others.

Thanks Opalsboy, I will try to avoid that tree however it will have to be with my Burgman (NOT Bergman) as I do not have a Silverwing. I hope I'm still welcome. I'm looking to upgrade in late 2012 or early 2013 to something in the 600cc range and am starting my research now and am looking forward to learning about the SWing. The riding is really good here in NY once you get out of the 5 boroughs.

We ride the North & South shore on Long Island including the Hamptons, Shelter Island, Montauk then up to Bear Mountain, Catskills, Rockland County, New Jersey, PA to name a few off the top of my head.

Very familiar with those areas.

Do you commute with your Burgman or just for weekend riding??

I commute with my Burgman and use her for just about everything else. I picked her up last year August with 1500 miles and now have 15,300 mile on her. It's starting to become consistently cold (about 30 degrees) in the am which is forcing me onto the Iron Horse more often than I like. It may be time to consider laying Suzi up and winterize her. Sad

Here is a pic of my 08 Burgman which my wife named Suzi.

How about yourself Honda Silver, do you commute or just ride on the weekends?

Impressive Exclamation There were times driving NYC in a car and not feeling safe the way they drove. Commuting during rush-hour with anxious NYC drivers must be very interesting.

I have 67350 miles in 55 months ... I do everything I can on my Silverwing.

Things can definitely get dicey in a hurry around here. I just take my time when traveling in and around the city, it also helps that I'm on the road around 5:30 am & 2:30 pm respectively which puts me on the road before rush hour.
