I have a question of my Roman Catholic friends -- if a person is read "last rites" and then doesn't die for another two weeks, is a new "last rites" needed?

The answer I got was that it was not needed.

Of course, not from an ordained type, just some one up on her catechism.

Well,,, it stands to reason, doesn't it?? Otherwise they wouldn't be "last" rites... they'd be next-to-the-last rights. Right?? Oh well,,, I just have to much time on my hands.

Why wait until the last minute anyway? You never know when it will be your turn to leave this world so just be ready. No one should wait until the last minute to prepare for anything. People are good procrastinators. There are very few of them prepared for anything and then they cry, "Oh poor me!"
Being ready should become a part of our daily living schedule. This applies to riding our "Silverwings" as well. We need to check everything before we go on the ride. Anyway, you all know what I am saying. This is why people get into trouble. They just aren't ready! Sometimes you do not have a second chance. . .
