| Hey all
I've just decided to trade up to a Silverwing from a smaller scooter, so my wife can join me on rides. But here's the thing --I've never ridden with a passenger before! How do you folks communicate with your passenger? Do you have hand signals? squeezes or taps? knock across the helmet? (Until I get more experience, I plan on both of us riding with full-face helmets, and verbal communication will be minimal) |

| I have Blue tooth in my nolan 102 full face helmet and my wife has it in her helmet it comes with a mic and speckers in the helmet or you can buy a universal blue tooth set to fit most helmets . But I like nolan blue tooth best becouse it is made just for my nolan helmet so it fits the helmet best. And if it is legal at where you live and you have a blue tooth phone you can take and make hands free phone calls and you can all so here music in the head set on some models. But if you do not get a blue tooth communicator set you do not have to here the wife. You know peace and quiet for an Hour or two. |

| Another vote here for Interphone (BlueAnt over the pond). Never used the Nolan unit as never had a Nolan helmet but the one drawback I can see with it is that it is only going to fit their helmets. Others are universal so when you change your helmets just swap over the units. Mine is the old Interphone which is very good (400 metres plus), I believe the F4 is even better. Cheers, |

| After buying and returning about a half dozen I have yet to find a perfect solution at a reasonable price with all of the bells and whistles. In the meantime I am using a far-from-perfect parrot system but it doesn't have an intercom. It does however have a handlebar-mounted remote control that i wish other brands offered.

You may wish to reconsider that statement. No amount of experience can make you invulnerable to the other driver doing something stupid. If you do a face plant, you could be eating out of a straw for the rest of your life. If your wife did a face plant, you'd never forgive yourself.

| Agree with Daboo on this one. Experience doesn't equal invulnerability. Full face or modular for me are the only helmets I will wear. Luckily for us Brits we don't have the extreme heat some of you guys / gals have to ride in.

| I agree. Without getting into the 'Which helmet is best' wrangle yet again, I can say that last Saturday my face got cold in my Nolan N43 - the air temperature was around 14ÂșC - so it demonstrated its 'open-air' characteristics. I'd contemplated taking the 102 which is warmer but the other is so good. _________________ Mike - Riding on the right - riding for pleasure!

| Taps, yelling. I don't want anything electric in my helmet.
I/we stop every hour or 50 miles and then you can talk. Riding two up is a team effort.
My dog never says anything between stops. Loves the new places to sniff and leave messages.
Helmets---I go thru about 2 year----have found Fulmer, cheap, good fit but available only at bike shops. |
