Diamond plate would look great for a floor board, but I'm sure it would be more slippery than a dirty Tennessee toilet seat.

I made some 3/4 length where I put my feet foward, placed it over the rubber F/B using them as a template. They are not slippery at all,dry or wet.

Ive been thinking the same thing only using the shortest nap carpet i can find, like whats in my truck, or shorter if possible. Velcro the whole thing down so it can be cleaned. Ive only got 220 miles on mine so far, and it already is pulling and lifting up. Examining it, it doesnt seem to be attached but in 3 places with 2 way tape. I think anything might be better.

| I'm not answering the question - I don't know where to buy metal floorboards from - but I do wonder whether it's advisable to have metal under the feet if one is able to ride when the weather is cold. _________________ Mike - Riding on the right - riding for pleasure!

Some of the cheaper Chinese scoots have a vynil type checkerplate which would be easier to manipulate. With the bend in them, would it be better to make them in two sections? The material could be shorter, cheaper sections of checkerplate. The tupper ware has both fore and rear sections, so it may be easier to make four aluminium rear and front skins

Maybe a diamond plate outline trim (about 1" all the way around) with the stock rubber pad. Some bling with some foot traction.
