PostSubject: Stone Chips!   Tue Feb 22, 2011 1:11 pm

Spent a couple of hours making the bike shine then decided to ride to the fishing tackle shop in Portishead about 50 miles away. Great ride on M4 & M5, got home to discover 4 stone chips on the right fairing! Mad I have used the touch up paint but it still looks bad! Does this happen to anyone else?

Sorry to read that, Elick.

Bikes are road vehicles; none of us is exempt from road chips. I have scratches on my helmet visor, the front fairing, even my gloves got hit pretty hard one day and the little stone shaved the rubber on the knuckles guard.

Enjoy your bike for what it is, a machine.
