PostSubject: New dr pulley rollers    Fri Feb 11, 2011 2:24 pm

Got my new dr pulley 26 gram rollers yesterday thank you to cosmic jumper for the sale of these.well I installed them yesterday which took all of about a hour got the variator holding tool so made the job nice and straight forward.my first impressions are that the 26g rollers are quite a bit stronger through out all the rev range 70 mph equals 5400 revs which was the same as the 28g standard ones.Above 60 takes of really nicely but what impressed me most was the roll on from 40 lot stronger than standard . And boy does the noise change sounds more menacing .I didn't go for lighter ones due to the swing having now 65000 on so didn't want to push my luck with to much tuning ,also I noticed the new rollers made the swing smoother.bearing in mind the old rollers were only 1500miles old .all in all very happy I think you would like the 26g weights jeff r

Hey Lesley, I also get between 35 and 45mpg on my usual trips and I also use 26g sliders and love 'em. I also find them a blast compared to stock rollers. I'll get about 35mpg when I'm going about 80mph and/or carrying my touring gear. I do jackrabbit a lot and love taking off and blasting past trucks whenever they are next to me on the expressways. I just got a darkside tire and hope to find out how it affects my mileage, odometer and range. I think I heard someone once mention they found 21g sliders - I wonder what those are like! Twisted Evil
