Is this a similar mod to using a 650 Suzuki V-Strom hand guard on one bar, and a 1000 V-Strom hand guard on the other, that was popular with 650 Burgman owners?

ok Meldrew...you've got it. Had to have a spacer made for right handlebar end. Don't forget the brake lever pivot pins as they are extended with a hexagon nut on top. A little bit of cutting away some plastic near where it fits the brake mount.

Which is which? V-Strom 650 on right or left? (And obviously, the 1000 would be the other one...) Do you just go to a Suzuki dealer to order? How pricey are they? Acerbis makes a nice universal set but they are well over $100 US. That seems a bit steep to me.

if you are looking for handguards you can also look for "isotta" and "acerbis dual road" stuff...
