PostSubject: Spark plug recommendations?   Wed Dec 01, 2010 5:09 am

I purchased a 2003 Swing 600 in August and have ridden it 1,700 miles since.

I'm getting ready to prep the bike for an Ohio winter and want to change out the plugs. What do others recommend from their experience as the best plugs to use?

Also, I just purchased a trickle charger and have added stabilizer, but would be interested in any other storage suggestions. I want to get back to riding without a hiccup in the spring.

I use seafoam and start them up once or twice a week and get them up to temp for a few minutes to evap any condensation, Put the rear stand on and run them through the gears as well. The track bike gets tore completely down and rebuilt! Yea! the new Yosh cam sets this winter!

First pull out and check....maybe ok. Otherwise follow shop manual, use what Honda recommends.

Park with full tank, Sty-bul (sp?) in tank, on center stand-----fresh oil, disconnect battery-----don't start up until you are ready to ride.

Want to be super careful, pull plugs, shoot a little oil down combustion chamber. re-install plugs-----might smoke a little on initial start up.

Ride all winter if you can, best.

Also run the plugs in with never seize!!! Could save expensive cyclinder head work.
