| Hi. Just joined the Forum. I currently don't have an S'wing, or any other 2 wheeler, for that matter. That will be corrected in early to mid 2011. Wish it could be sooner, but unfortunately, it's just not possible until then. DOHHHHH!!!!! I'm located in Topeka KS and I've not seen any S'wings on the roads here. But there will be |

| Welcome! Maxi-scooters aren't all that popular yet for some reason so they aren't as common as motorcycles. I have the best of all two wheel worlds, a Goldwing and a Silverwing. Much as I like the luxury barge GW I still ride my SW a lot. I'll probably still have it when I can no longer handle the big heavy GW. Keep looking and find a good one these are great machines, part scooter, part motorcycle. Good for errands and cross the US touring. Let us know what you eventually find even if it's not a Silverwing. |

| Well, I'm pretty sure it will be a Silver Wing. Friend of mine in Dallas has one. He let me ride it. That may have been a mistake. J/K. But the upshot is, I fell in love. I would prefer to buy new, less worry if it's been maintained properly, but I wouldn't totally discount a used on a private sale. May not even be within the time frame I am looking at, but I WILL get one. |

| I guess it's a material world and I am a material girl.
When I rode my Yamaha motorcycle everything I wanted to take with me had to fit in my backpack, and in Alabama that usually meant my back was sweaty for the whole ride.
Now that I have storage under the seat and in the tail box, I can go somewhere and take my stuff with me. Also, no sweat! |

| Just scored a 2010 "Red" Silverwing and had to "join up". Im Tom French AKA Frenchie, kinda a bit of a novice rider, only bout 40 years in the saddle, kinda tellin my age a bit. I love on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and have about 10-11 months of riding weather per year cause as far as I am concerned temperature is just a number. In Norway they have a saying of "There is no bad weather, Only Bad Clothes" I traded my 2008 HD Crossbones yesterday on my "SW" because 1) the local HD dealership closed yesterday, 2) I seriously missed both my Honda Reflex & Helix, and 3) walked away from the deal yesterday 2 grand ahead overall and with a better machine! so now my 02 Goldwing had a "Little Brother" to chat with in the garage.
Be safe out there and watch the other guy!!

Hardcore Rider, best wishes in your search for a two wheeler. Although I really enjoy both of my rides, if I had to start over, I would join the forums first and select my ride second. I like your plan! |
