| Hi, my name is Omer. I'm living in Istanbul and i'm an experienced mechanical engineer working for wire industry. I had different type and brand of motorcyles during my high scool and university education period, however I gave up riding bikes for last 15 years. Then, I bought a Kymco scooter (125cc) last year for short distances but I had to change it with 250cc Xciting after a short time.
Finally I bought a SW600, model year 2008, 600km, color black last week. Previous owner was an unexperienced driver and had a small accident immediately after buying the machine, then he parked it in his garagge for two years. We have done the necessary paint and maintenance works and I'm riding the machine now. It is quite impressive. We have two cars at home but I always prefer to ride my bike in terribly blocked trafic of Istanbul. It is a good advantage.
I feel that it will be very helpful for me to read the posts in this forum, thanks to everybody in advance. I'm a member of the domestic scooter forum named as Scooturk as well. www.scooturk.net As forum members we are a big family and we ogranize meetings, group rides, different activities and have great fun. That's all for now. Greetings

| Omer,
Welcome to the forum; you will find people here to be very friendly and there is a wealth of knowledge if you ever want to know anything about your new bike.
As an Australian I have a particular empathy with your homeland. I have wanted to visit for many years particularly to the site of Troy and to Gallipoli.
I look forward to your future contributions.
Regards, Peter |

| Hello again, principally I do not want to upload anything out of SW issues on this forum but I see that some members are interested on my country and activities of Scooturk, so I would like to share some pictures and information regarding our domestic group. Scooturk is a group established at 2006 in Istanbul, today we have more than 1500 members from different cities but mainly fom Istanbul. We meet regularly on every Wednesday, we also organize weeked activities to other cities or suburb of Istanbul. I'm new on SW so I do not have any experience to share yet but I hope I will contribute soon. | Wow! I like "music for ass"! That must sound really good as the owner rides along. Scooter riding in Turkey is not much different to Australia except you have more members on your rides. Peter |
