| Hi,
Just bought a low mileage (682 mi) '05 abs S'wing. I have been riding scooters, cycles since 1968, but this is my first real maxi scooter. Currently also own BMW R1150GS, and a Kymco Granvista (250cc) which is going up for sale. Commute to work will soon be longer, and I wanted abs system. I welcome any advice on good rides, local get togethers, modifications (hyper pro, air cleaners, heated grips?, etc.
Thank you to all who participate and especially to the forum administrator.

| Welcome ajay.
I can confirm the 'Wing' is an awesome commuter scooter!!!!!! I use mine daily for a fifty mile commute in all weathers. Rain -hail - snow even very high winds but definitely NOT ice!
Look forward to hearing your views on the 'Wing'. |

| I commute 50 miles each way with my S-wing too. But I keep an eye on the weather reports and don't intentionally ride in rain. I'm not sure how long into the winter I will be able to keep riding. As long as I can, but I'm not going to make myself too miserable. I do have a car, as much as I hate to drive it. |

Welcome Ajay,
Unfortunately you just missed your areas semi-annual maxi scooter rally. Even worse my sweetie and I missed this ride also. The good news is the spring rally will be here when we are ready to take in the fresh scent of the Amish countryside.
For a taste on what goes on take a look at this link and open the “ANNUAL MID ATLANTIC FALL RALLY DETAIL” topic.

| Hi Ajay. A BMW GS rider! Still the ultimate motorcycle to those of us who have been around a while. I have a Honda XR250L that I pretend is a GS. Imagination........its a wonderful distraction.! The Silverwing is definitely an addicting two wheeler. Hope you enjoy yours. Hey.....How about a set of Krauser hard cases for your SW??? Oh, this summer I saw an R750/5 this with 125k on the odo. The owner looked like Grizzly Addams.....no bear tho. Take care Ajay. Jeff. |

| Hey Lesley. I know that FJ of yours is a torque monster,............but years ago I rode a Yamaha Radian around a half mile kart track.......and that short wheel based, quick reving Yammy, is still one of my all time favorite memories. Your wife.......is she married? Dont mind me Lesley, I remind myself of Steve Martins character in the "Jerk". "Wow......the new phone books here!!!" Jeff.
