| HI folks this is ALIEN from Exeter, NH. I'm leaving for South Dakota on July 18th for 2 weeks. I'm taking the northern route (90), into SD then head north to Deadwood, then south to the Badlands, not locked into any special destination or locale. I've been there a half dozen times previous, just never on a bike. Anyone out there want to meet up at some point, give a shout and we'll exchange some info. I'm going solo at this point, anyone welcome. |

| Hi alien, That sure sounds like fun. If you get a chance and think of it, take some pictures of your trip. Wish I could get away. |

| I know it's beginning to sound like I'm from everywhere, but I went to college for a year in South Dakota and this ride really sounds like a great time.
When I was there in 1986 I only had a bicycle so I didn't get to see enough of the area except when I could borrow my Aunt and Uncle's truck or ride around with friends.
But I don't believe there is a more beautiful area in the fall than the black hills. I'm sure it's nice this time of year too, if not too hot.
Good luck on your ride! |

| It sounds like you will be in the Sturgis area, so be careful. I went there in 2000, and I promised a guy if he could tell me how to get out of there I wouldn't come back. It was just too much of too much for me, but I'm glad I saw it. Kind of like the man with a hot horseshoe; "It don't take long to look at it." Seriously, that is some beautiful country. Enjoy your trip. |

| Alien, it is a great area to ride in. I'm sure you will enjoy it much more than by car. We rode up there a few years back, Badlands, Sturgis, Crazy Horse, Wall Drug, and the view of the presidents head is really neat. Enjoy the ride. Dick |
