Hey MikeO and 26hm52,

You both have a wonderful, fun filled Birthday. I hope you get a chance to get out and do a little riding on this day.

Thank you very much indeed!
No riding but I drove some of the congregation down to Ypres - the chaplain of the English Memorial Church, St George's, is retiring so there was a special service and 'do'.
I had a lovely day.
If anyone ever visits Ypres, especially to see the WW1 cemetaries and so on, do visit the church. It's full of memorials to the fallen, many of which were presented (and still are) by schools whose former staff and pupils lost their lives.
Also there's the memorial for John McRae, the Canadian soldier who wrote the poem, 'In Flanders' Fields'.

A belated greeting from me guys!! Sorry I missed it.

What with the sun being out and stuff I hardly came near my 'puter'.

I hope you all had a great day and the weather was as good to you as it was to me. (I'll try and remember next year!!!)

Thanks, Doug!
Yes, one should be riding in this weather.

I had a special uncle who was invariable late in sending cards and presents on our birthdays when we were young. He was a good, kind man and it wasn't until after his death that my sister and I realised his lateness was a deliberate ploy to keep the birthday going for a few extra days for us.
That's how I view 'late' greetings these days - great!
