PostSubject: hyperpro fork spring oil level   Thu Apr 29, 2010 6:53 am

I just got my Hyperpro progressive springs. (Delayed due to volcano in Iceland).

I have a question.

In the instructions , it says to bring the oil up to 100mm from top of fork while compressed. The manual calls for a different level.

Which level did you all use? Hyperpro level or Service manual

MaxB (ready to change out springs)

Go with Hyper Pro's recommendation.

While you're doing the spring change be sure to empty out the Honda fork oil, then add several ounces of Mineral Oil to the fork tube. Pump the fork tube several times to work the Mineral Oil thru the valve system. Empty the Mineral oil and repeat as many times as necessary until the Mineral Oil comes out nice and clear.

Invert the fork tube and allow to drain completely. Then follow Hyper Pro's instructions.

If you didn't already know, ya gets the Mineral Oil from the Drug Store.

Regards

Tim
