I haven't heard of anyone making that upgrade. I wonder if they didn't just move to that size because it matched some of their other bikes, and allowed them to purchase fewer sizes. The smaller size seems to do just fine in stopping the scoot. The only brake modification I've ever seen or heard of was on a bike that the owner bored out, modified the throttle-body, tire size, fairing etc. Some serious mods, the owner took a CBR fairing top and molded it into the Swing.

Hi DennisB, I felt that the stopping power for SW can improve further, I believe front brake disc up size, can make speed after 60mph or with pillion, more confident. From specification, SW 2008 and above , all come with bigger disc brake. Thank you From Chia

I'm surprised anyone would think the SW is lacking in braking. I've had one incident where a car pulled out in front of me from a side street while I was traveling around 40mph. My wife was on the back and I had to modulate my front brake carefully to keep it from locking in that emergency stop. Even at that the pressure required on the brake lever was pretty light. I have no doubt that if one grabbed both brakes with a 'death grip' it would lock up both brakes and put the bike out of control. Of course if you have an ABS model things may be different.

Hi Exavid, If with original softer front fork spring, i agree the front brake just working fine or just match. But after install Hypro front fork spring with harder and more firm, then i think the front brake should follow with strong stopping power (with less finger force). I mean to upgrade the original brake system perfomance! May be i m wrong? Thank you From Chia
