| Be aware that the battery terminals on the ebay battery, are switched around. The positive terminal on my '08, battery is on the right side of the battery (toward the front of the scooter). This ebay battery shows the positive terminal on the left side, the rear on the scooter. |

| Why couldn't you just lay it on its back, so to speak, and have the + toward the front? |

| Is there anyone out there running a larger battery. My wing had a larger battery in it when I got it. It is taller so the battery door doesn't cover as it should. I am going to fab up a cover as opposed to putting the stock size in. I have read about issues with the stock size being easy to drain.
I can leave the seat up all night and it will still start in the morning. |

| Lucky you! Even if I leave the seat up only for a few minutes I get yelled at! |

| Wait a minute! What seat are we talking abut!? Oh......oh...... yea! THAT seat!
Anyway, yes, I'm using an aftermarket larger battery which is too big for the cover to cover. It's an Extreme Magna Power by E.P.M. Products. It's an AGM (absorbed glass mat) battery, sealed, maintenance free, made in then USA.
This battery was installed new after the oem battery went kaput on my trip home from the purchase (Oklahoma to New Mexico) in August 08. The seller knew the oem battery was going, so kindly had supplied this new battery, and sure enough I need it.
It's been working just fine. It did finally go dead this winter after 4 months of no use and no charging and outdoor storage with COLD temps. I've charged it back up and put it on the Battery Tender indoors for a couple of days, and it's holding its charge fine.
Hopefully it wasn't damaged by this experience. Don't know when I'll actually get to test in back in the scoot. Could maybe be today for the first ride-able day in months around here. |

| Is there anyone out there running a larger battery I carry a spare battery in the front of the under seat compartment and it hooks to the on board battery. The bike keeps both charged so I have a lot of spare amps. I also use the extra battery when I am camping to run assesories without draining the bike battery. It is hooked up with quick disconect so I unplug it and take it into the tent to run 12 V assesories like fan, lights, wifes curling iron, and it has a lighter socket wired in so it is ready to plug in to what ever i need. Truck Stops are a good place to find 12V assesories cause Drivers use a lot of them. |

| Chief, This a very interesting idea. Do you happen to have a photo or two of the battery and the hook-up? |

| Yuasa (The original battery maker) has two batteries that fit nicely in our scooters. the ytz12s and ytz14s. YTZ12S=11 amp/hrs YTZ14S=11.2 amp/hrs The I have always used the batteries on their back and the positive terminal is always in the front that way on the stock battery.
