Well, I was finally able to pick up my bike after the dealership had installed the heated grips and drilled the air box. I was able to try them both yesterday when I was able to ride to work and I am very pleased with both. The grips are Oxford Heaters and they are fantastic. No more cold fingers for me. I drilled the air box at someones suggestion because ever since I installed the Leo Vince exhaust, I was getting some backfiring on deceleration. Well the drilled air box seems to have fixed that problem. Plus with the unexpected bonus of changing the engine sound to a nice low melodic growl. It sounds great and it even feels a bit more responsive. Thanks for the tips. Have fun.

Scootist,
I'm in Scottsbluff, Ne and my daughter and her husband live in Littleton.
I play golf at Raccoon Creek when weather permits.
Went on a ride for about 75 miles Sunday afternoon and it got down to
34 degrees. Needless to say my fingers got cold. Had some hand warmers
but did not use them. Were did you get the Oxford Grips and what do they
cost if I may ask.
Old Dave

DaveR:
I got them through TwistedThrottle:

http://www.twistedthrottle.com/

They cost $79.95 plus $12.95 shipping and handling, so the total cost was about $92.00. I paid the dealership to install them for me and they charged me 1 1/2 hours of labor, plus their usual environmental fees - the total was about $134. They are made of high quality materials and they work great! I rode to work again this morning with temperatures in the 20's and my fingers were nice and toasty. Since I ride any day that isn't snowing and icy, I will get a lot of use out of these things. I give them two thumbs up!
