PostSubject: SW-T400 Dual Headlights   Tue Nov 24, 2009 1:06 pm

Hi Folks,
On the new (2009) SW400 the dual headlights do not burn together. Only one is lit.

2 questions here:
- Is it possible to connect both so they light up together?
- Is it possible to install xenon bulbs?

I know that xenon do no like to be flashed and most likely the housing will need to be changed. I am also assuming I will loose the high beam which sounds not that bad if one has xenon installed.

Thoughts?

I hate when they do that.
The SWing 600 could use all of the low beam light.

With the right wiring and relay ... yes.

You would have to check if you could use the existing wiring to power two low beam from the same fuse/wire harness.

Yes.

One low beam and One combined low and high beam

I am not aware of any where to purchase alternative housings for light reflection.

No and that would would be very UNSAFE.

If you look here http://www.ddmtuning.com/catalog/Motorcycle_Lighting-61-1.html ... there is a DDM 35W & 55W Single Hi/Lo Bulb Motorcycle HID System which is what you would need.

Thanks Bill!

You won't believe it but where I live all roads are lit bright during the evening/night. Not only highways but also small roads. It's a weird country :-)
Hence my comment on the high beam, with all that light the high beam is rarely used.
Of course you are right about the safety factor.

Thanks for the reply, I will check what I can do and let you guy's know. Specially checking the existing wiring/fuse etc...

You might also check out DennisB's spotlight bar attachment, which is very easy to install, and if you ask him, he'll send you the schematics for hooking up the lights.

PostSubject: Re: SW-T400 Dual Headlights   Fri Jan 21, 2011 5:51 pm

Hi guys.
Attempting to revive this discussion.
Looking for advise on how to choose correct HID kit for my 2007 SWing. Link above http://www.ddmtuning.com/catalog/Motorcycle_Lighting-61-1.html is no longer working. There are number of HID kits on Ebay in the price range of 40-50 bucks. Which type of bulbs I should choose, H4 or H7, to be installed without any modifications or spacers?
Any feedback/advice will be greatly appreciated. not worthy

The ddm website itself is still up.
http://www.ddmtuning.com/
Shoot them an email or call them and see what their reply is.
I would suggest you mention your application, and specifically that you are looking for the hi/low HIDs that were mentioned above, as your first choice.

Dan

Thanks a lot guys.
I followed the link. DDM site is selling an upgraded kit for D1S and D1R bulbs. I believe we have H7 bulbs on Silverwing. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Thank you for the valuable information. I 'll call them tomorrow to find out if kits are still available for Silverwing. Was it easy to install DDM kit?

Just to be clear, I have 2007 Honda Silverwing FSC600A ... not the new SWT-400. I do not know if the SWT-400 has the same identical bulbs as the FSC600*.

I have exactly the same vehicle - 2007 FSC600A, not SWT-400. Sorry I haven't notice that this discussion for SWT-400.
