PostSubject: Greetings from Russia.   Thu Jan 18, 2018 2:19 am

Hello. I live in Russia, Sverdlovsk region, Severouralsk. In 2012, I bought a scooter Honda Silver Wing 400 2004, a run of 32 thousand km and drove there 70 thousand km. In 2018 I bought an engine from Honda Silver Wing 600 from Poland and installed it. I really love my Honda Silver Wing.
I do not know English, I use an online translator for translation, so I apologize.

Thanks for the pictures Vyacheslav they look great. That last one almost looks like some of our rush hour traffic here in the States. Nice scenery too in the other photos.

Vyacheslav, Welcome to the forum.
Your skills as an owner mechanic go way beyond mine !!! I am lucky to be able to change the fluids. I know I would be very proud if I could do a tenth of what you did with your bike.
Nice job!
Jay.

Welcome Vyachslav , always good to have a new scooter enthusiast join, especially someone from another country. I like to get different opinions on life.
Nice pictures, keep them coming. Tell about your journey and the difficulties it took to get there.

Eventhough I've been a member here for some time, I'm not sure how to operate this site because lt got lost and this is only the second time I've found it for some reasion. I tried to send a picture of my 2009 Silverwing 600 in Maine, USA , hope it uploads

I put on the Givi AF214, MRA X-creen Tour Spoiler. I'm very pleased, it's much better.

Hello Vyacheslav. It is nice to hear from you again. Thank you for the new photos. What is the signpost in the first photo?

I would also like to know more about the Motopolarnik rally. You posted some photos of there before but many of them seem to have gone missing.

Who organizes the Motopolarnik and when is it held? Is it held at the same location each year, or does it change locations? I recall a photo of you standing in a very impressive "winged wheel" structure which looked like a giant trophy. It looks to have been a well thought out and designed work rather than something bodged together. Do you have, or can you direct me to, more information about the "trophy" and the history of Motopolarnik?

With that MRA spoiler atop the Givi AF214 screen it looks as if you could smoke a cigar while riding at freeway speeds.

Best wishes for a safe and pot hole free riding season. Send us more photos of your travels.

Tim

Hello Tim. Motopolyarnik held in one place, this will also be a rally. I unfortunately can not get there, because there is a border zone, the documents are sent for half a year, that would issue a pass.
Here is the link for 2016.http://yanaorgo.ru/s/m01_16/page-16.html

If you are registered on Fasebook, then you can see motoplyarnik 2018. I'm unfortunately not registered there, it's a closed group.

International tourist meeting MOTOPOLARNIK-2018, taking place in the settlement of Yamburg of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, on the shore of the Kara Sea.
Stela "Motopolyarnik" is installed in the environs of the settlement of Yamburg, on the shore of the Ob Bay of the Kara Sea of the Seven Arctic Ocean. It is dedicated to all tourists who have reached this northern point of Russia in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District. The installation is timed to the 170th anniversary of the Russian Geographical Society and the motor cycle "Motopolyarnik-2016".
The stela represents two crossed arches symbolizing the top of the globe, the dome of the world. The resulting arches are a sort of vault of the temple for travelers open to all winds, passing through which one can move in four directions of the Parties of the World. And under the arches of this "temple" in the top, the basis of the world view of motorcyclists is deduced by welding: "Live, love, roll." Everyone who reached this extreme point, on which the roads in Yamal ends, symbolically announces to the world about his achievement by striking a bell on which he inscribed: "To the glory of motor-travelers!".

Figures of motorcyclists symbolize mototrivers who seek to the North from all directions. On the arches there are arcs, on which it will be necessary to tie a ribbon with wishes. In accordance with northern traditions, tying a knot, we thank the northern Gods for allowing us to complete the chosen path and ask them for an easy return, and we wish health and peace to our relatives.
Crown crown crowns with the inscription "Motopolyarnik" and emblem in the form of a motorcycle wheel with wings, like a guardian angel, floating on the ascending streams of winds of the coast and eternal waves of the Kara Sea. On the wings of the figures shine the coordinates of the place, which reached the wandering motorcyclist.

Thank you, Vyacheslav. That is a true monument to an extreme ride and a dedicated rider's endurance. I am sure tha you are very proud to have made that trip on your Silverwing.

Hey, anybody can ride there on a Harley, it takes a man with balls to do it on a scooter.
