Serviced my diff. Redline 10w40 full SYN. when almost new. 2013 left over.
Installed DR P. sliders today almost 6k now. Ser. again today oil was black does this seen normal?
Maybe oil? Didn't use that again, when with Mobil One 10W40 motorcycle . I'll check that at next oil change.

I like DR. P. sliders 28G Its not much faster 0-30 but pulls harder from there up. Lowered RPMs at upper speeds great I run it hard.
DR. P easy to install. A lot of belt dust in case cleaned it out other than that everything was good.

Not sure why your oil changed color so fast but the final drive is not that sophisticated. The subject has been covered from a to z
here. Many S/W riders use old fashioned differential oil with success. As they say what ever floats your boat. As for my self I think full SYN is not necessary in a S/W engine or final drive.

Thanks. I'll check it again at next oil change. 1500 or so from now. See how Mobile looks then.
Redline is a true SYN. oil Ester based that what surprised me about how black is was.
