PBob and I participated in the Moonshine Lunch Run in Moonshine, IL ( Pop. 2) last Saturday. It is an annual event for long distance riders to start off the riding season. You can google it for more info. Started the day about 41° but warmed up nicely. Heated gear worked well at the start of the day. We met some friends from St Louis just north of Moonshine.
We stood in line for a burger for and hour talking. The line moved fast and the burgers were good. The event is well run by volunteers. After expenses all proceeds got to local charities. They made over 3300 burgers this year.
After we eat the four of us rode to Casey,IL and checked out the worlds largest rocking chair and wind chime. Spent a little time there and we parted and headed back home. This was my second ride of the season and Bob's first. 470 miles in all. It was a good day.
Here are some pics of the day.
