I am new to the forum but I have had my 2011 swing over a year now. I had been touring on a 2004 Yamaha FJR 1300 which I love, but after a knee replacement the FJR wasn't comfortable. The swing has worked out well. It had 1.5k miles on it when I got it, it has 15+k miles now.

The only modification I have made is a taller Ceebee windscreen. After a 2000 mile trip last week into Montana and Idaho I would like to add heated grips, we had cold rainy weather.

Mid-July I will be leaving for my second trip back to the Cape Cod area, and I'm thinking I might return via Canada.

I'm looking forward to learning from the forum.

Welcome to the Forum...I hope you enjoy your Silverwing as much as I have. It is a great and reliable machine which is easy to ride even at my age. I have 57,500 smiles on mine now and love to ride it when ever I get the chance to do so. Its just a little harder to do when you get old.

Welcome Prairiewolf to the best S/W Forum on either side of the pond. With a little research you can find the answer to most concerns you will have with your S/W. Have traveled to your area a couple of times on my 06. Take care. Howard

Welcome from the east side of the hill. It sounds like you are logging some real miles on your swing. Heated grips are definitely nice for those cooler days. You will find a lot of information on this forum if you have questions. Have a safe trip.

Welcome from Salisbury, UK.

I decided not to bother with heated grips, good as they are, but to buy handlebar muffs.
They work for me and can be transferred easily from one bike to another. Smile

I didn't know I could do a heated seat, I will have to think about that. Heated grips are definitely on the wish list.

Tell me, where do I find the US map you are using on your page?

Thanks, David/N5WNE
