Please see step 2 (edited). I don't know what happened, I'm pretty sure I had that pic posted, don't know where it went. I have a small amount (2 or 3 small pieces) of thick wall aluminum tubing from a machining job I had some years ago. It's not something that is readily available. I don't throw much stuff away, never know when it will come in handy. It worked just right for this project.

It is actually as centered and squared as I am capable of doing. Standing somewhat to the side makes it look askew. I tried to send another pic, but got shot down for too much content. I was standing slightly off to the right side. You can see the right side grip and mirror in the pics of the lights.
