swing Just picked up a 2007 Silver wing ABS this week. I've been riding scooters for many years but took the last 10 years off until my friend bought a Burgman. I decided I had to get something to keep up and go riding together.
I've had the Honda elite 150 & 250cc scooters that I enjoyed but the silver wing is the biggest scooter I've ridden to date. I'm sure I'll get to ride a Burgman 650 in a couple weeks when my friend get's back.
We plan to go to the north GA mountains next month.

welcome alpha welcome to the forum. It looks like you already know how good Honda scooters are. You will probably never regret buying a Silverwing and I'm sure you're going to have a blast in the mountains next month.
I add the paragraph below for most new members because there's a lot of information in the links and may save you some work.
Here are some links(3 below in blue)that will help you learn a lot about your Silverwing. If you can't find what you need in the links below the search on this forum works good, and if you still need help just ask and someone will do what they can to answer your questions.

cheers welcome cheers Make sure you have a ride and return policy with your friend. Don't want them trying to keep your Wing. Laughing

Thanks for the welcome and the links that I will be sure to explore.
I think I can trust my friend about returning my Silver wing

I believe I will end up pulling the bulb out of the storage area under the seat as that seems to be a problem if the seat isn't properly secured leading to a dead battery.

alpha I agree I took my bulb out too. I always carry an LED flashlight with me and I keep one handy in all my scooters. The underseat light doesn't work very well if you have much under your seat anyhow.

I took the bulb out of mine too. I have a hard time getting it to shut also.
I was just at dollar tree today and picked up an aluminum led light clip on key chain.
That will now tuck in perfectly in my pocket and won't slip out of my hand and drop on the floor like yesterday again.
when at walyworld.

I have no problems getting the seat to lock on mine but I feel safer as others have had the problem. I picked up a Yusa charger today for the off months to keep my battery in good shape during the off months that I don't ride. It probably wont get any use till December.
I had my first fill up today at the gas station and I didn't have any problems with the gas pump just pumped it slowly. I just wish there were more Gas stations that sell ethanol free gas close by.
