I am looking to replace the front and rear brakes on the 2005 SWing. Any advice on which type is best and the best prices on them. I pick up my orders in Maine, so free mainland US shipping works great for me. BikeBandit price is about $68.00 US for a set, but I think there are better ones still. Thanks.

From my experience, I'd stick with OEM. They fit perfectly, aren't overly pricey, and available from any Honda online retailer at a discounted price. They are organic, not sintered metallic, so they won't score your rotors.

Never thought of the scoring issues with the rotors !!! Something to consider, Thanks, Big Bird.

cotetoi one time I used aftermarket pads on the front of my scooter and they destroyed my rotor. I bought a new Honda rotor and pads and have never tried aftermarket pads again. Eddie did you ever get a chance to compare the new e-brake pads with your old ones for thickness? Excuse me if you already posted your answer and I forgot.

no i didnt have a reason to remove my muffler but in time ill do it. when i do, do them ill take photos . i didnt post the e-breaks no worries brother its all good. So far i got 400 miles on my breaks and so far so good no warping or scoring. I do have to say that when i do them again? Im going to leave out both the white spacers and silver covers from the oem rear breaks. I had removed the inner white spacers because of lack of room to put the caliper back with the spacers and covers so i did it with the chrome covers only from the stock pads. After doing my breaks I had drag for a few hundred miles. ( Tight rear wheel rotation ) Its all good now at 400+ miles the drag wore down. so its free wheeling. So maybe a head up to all that do there own breaks AND WATCH THAT DAMN STUPID RETAINER SPACER ON THE REAR CALIPER!!!!!!!! it likes to fall out and like a puzzle to put back in :-) . much love my winged family!!! Now I do remember you saying you would post pictures when the time came to get access to the pads. Thank you for the reply. Ride safe my friend.
