I have done two 235km trips. and the last gas gauge bar starts flashing at 200 I dont ride slow. 120 KPH (75 MPG ) average .. is that normal havnt checked air cleaner yet with only 900 kms when I bought it. figured be ok, but a friend that just bought a 07 Burgman that sat for 5 yrs too like mine removed his airfilter and was full of seeds. and fluff? better take mine out too looking in shop manual how to do it.

Check the "Pictorials" maintenance section on the forum page. I believe Jeff did a pictorial on changing the filter. Pictorials plus the shop manual seem to make tasks easier. Plus you get to meander through all the comments.  Laughing

The gas gauge is not linear. The first bar at the top lasts for 4 litres. The last bar at the bottom that flashes also lasts 4 litres. The bars in between are each 1 litre.

That means if you travel 200 km and the bottom bar starts flashing, you have used 12 litres. I average just over 20 km/litre when highway driving, but I hold an indicated 105 kph, which is more like a true 95 kph. 12 litres should take me 12 X 22 km = 264 km. Your 200 km sounds reasonable for an indicated 120 kph. Try slowing down to 100 kph and see if that doesn't help your fuel mileage a lot.

kenvb Just out of curiosity what year is your scooter? It would be helpful in the long run if you put that in your profile. That way no one would need to ask in the future.

I have seen pictures of scooters that have had Mice build nests inside the air filter box, and also Inside the exhaust side of the CVT.

I bought some metal Mesh 1/4"x1/4" square, and put it over the air intake on the air filter box, and on my CVT air outlet, Not the inlet that has the foam filter, but the outlet, i have heard of guy's going to start their scoot after the winter and damage to the belt.
