| Went for a little ride on Tuesday. Tea at J38 Services in Tebay. 124 miles door to door. Just a taste of some of the roads we were on. GoPro Hero mounted on the helmet, mounted this way for the first time.

Flickering tail-light is the camera's doing.

| Hello Tinman,
Bit boring this bit but it shows what some of our scenery and roads are like. Video lasts about 6 mins. File too big so deleted link. Will upload to Youtube.
The motorway is the M6, and it was very quiet for a change.
Here is the track of where we went. The file will open Google Earth if you have it installed on your computer.

| Hello Tinman,
Not playing with you mate. I'll see if I can download it. File maybe too big for the system.
File too big, trying to download but takes too long. I'll delete the link on here and upload the vid onto YouTube, then I'll post a link to that. Sorry for the inconvenience, but you were probably only playing in the snow and came inside for a warm.
Cheers,

| Great scenery! Is that a one-way road? I can't imagine meeting an oncoming car when caught between the hedge & the rock wall. |

| Hello gyro,
No those are two way roads. You have to be able to reverse if you are driving on those roads.
The bridge is very narrow, I went over it a few weeks ago in my Volvo 960 Estate...cautiously!
Cheers,

| Tinman.
the file is 372Mb in size so it isn't either you or your Mac.
I'll upload it to YouTube and you can stream it from there.

When two vehicles meet on that road, what decides who backs up? Coin toss? Fisticuffs? Dueling pistols? |

| The main consideration is who passed a passing space. Some people are more willing to reverse than others, depending a lot of the time on their ability and if they can actually see behind them. The worst are Range Rover drivers who think you should be grateful to be allowed to reverse for them. Sometimes I will get out of the car (especially if it is the Volvo) and tell the driver of the other car that reverse gear has gone knackered so I can't backup. It is amazing how many people just do not know how wide their vehicle is, they get nervous if the side of the car gets within two feet of a wall or hedge. In some places you just have to hug the hedge, and hope there aren't any stones sticking out.
I think some drivers think that reversing for another car gives them a feeling of inferiority.

| Hello All, Videos are now on Youtube. The best one IMO is this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cE74sCdH8Fg&feature=youtu.be Very short, bit of target fixation here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJR6T5Je9EM A longer one (but I'm not altering the title of the thread!). Youtube removed the shakiness but the movement of the edges is distracting. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zi5obn_-jmo Flickering lights on Phil's bike is down to the camera. (GoProHD) (I think Spielberg's job is safe!) Cheers,

Yes we did. Beefburger and chips in J38 Services. Then back to Kendal, then onto the motorway north of Lancaster. Clocked 124 miles on the logger. The .kmz file is in a posting of mine a few up from this. Needs Google Earth to open. Copied it here https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/89523430/Tebay30042013.kmz Cheers,
