| My Silverwing is sold; not surprisingly I didn't get anything like what I'd hoped for but I now have peace of mind, not having to worry about selling it after I've moved.
I sold it back to the dealer's from whom I bought it in the first place.
My 'new' one is safely tucked up until I can collect it and hand over the cash - thanks a million, Laurie - so I can look forward to a good riding season in 2013.
I left the Admore Light Bar on it and will look for something similar but which is legal in England. After Christmas I'll be knocking on Dennis's door for a rear Perfect Connector.
Not sure what to do about a backrest; the Utopia one is superb but I really need the bum-stop further forwards so as I rarely carry a pillion I'm investigating the Bikers Friend roll-bag. Plenty of time yet. |

| Glad you managed to sell it Mike. Now, like me you are ride-less until re-united with another!!! |

| Thanks, Doug. As I said, peace of mind is important to me at this juncture.
I hope you're progressing satisfactorily. |

Have you tried extending the Utopia backrest to the maximum height and replacing the pivot screw with a longer pivot screw (Utopia may even have one) the backrest would move forward even more? |

| Wintertime is the worst time to sell a bike privately...
... that 's why I waited until (well) after Summer to buy one: prices seem drop with the temperature. |

| Thank you for your good wishes.
I have so much stuff I hired a storage unit close to the new flat. I have all my woodworking and mechanicing tools which I don't want to dispose of yet and tons of other things. I thought it would be big enough but it's literally stacked to the roof and I'll have to take things out before I can get in.
However, I've done the over-kill bit and hired a much bigger one so I can not only transfer everything into it (it's directly opposite so not far away) but come back for 'extras' I thought I have to leave behind. It's half a sea-container so is 20' x 8' x 8'. The other is a quarter of that.
I shan't keep it forever but will have room to squat in it and sort everything then move to a Medium - 10' x 8' x 8'.
If I do it right I shall be able to park my 'new' Silverwing in it and leave my m/c gear on a rail there. The site is 5 minutes' cycle ride from the flat so I think my plan will work well - I can keep my folding bicycle at the flat.
