Phoenix Scooter Fiesta

I am heading out tomorrow to meet up with the Sky Island Riders (a Tucson scooter group). We will be attending this event! Hopefully I will be able to add pictures to this topic upon my return!!! This event is NOT a Silver Wing only event but for all scooters! Should be interesting!

Phoenix Scooter Fiesta

Sounds interesting, I've never seen a large bunch of scooters together at one place before.

As promised, more details on the above! I left Wickenburg and traveled to Gilbert, AZ to Joe's Farm Grill. Joe's hosted the scooter event! Lots of different scooters attended and we had a special parking lot roped off for us! Quite a few motorcycles came out to see all the scooters as well EVEN Harleys!!!

Another MUCH nicer view of the BMW!!! Actually those are the "Ridenow Girls". Ridenow is a series of motorcycle dealerships, nice but VERY high pressure I am told. Yes dear I WILL sign!!!

A group of Ruckus' or Rucki? Sure did well on the slow drags though.



There was a "slow drag". Slowest scoot between points w/o touching down wins.

After the slow drags we assembled and headed out on a ride to Saguaro Lake. About 1/2 hour for the Maxi-scoots and 45 min for the smaller ones.

I headed out to the lake with a group of maxi's shortly before the herd left; we hit the super-slab for part of it so was quicker.

After the lake we broke up and headed to our hotels and other places. Last evening they had an outdoor movie scheduled at Joe's! Out on the grass some of us watched "Larry Crowne" perfect for scooter people! Others took another ride to Scottsdale for ice cream. I watched the movie as I had put quite a few miles on already.

This morning I headed back home! I traveled 251 miles in two days and saw some neat scoots and beautiful scenery as well. Hope you have enjoyed this little taste.

Hi Glenn, was nice meeting you and thanks for posting the photos. I'm just getting used to my 06 Silverwing. Little different from the Vespa.

Hey, that was me on the BMW slow draggin' against the Ruckstar guys... btw, don't know if you watched but it was close, he beat me by maybe a foot and I had just picked up that BMW Scooter that morning.. I"m impressive!
