| Anyone try/thought to lighten the swing and do it safely. Doing this has to retain the basic look of the swing. Modifications allowed. JUST WONDERING........ |

| Full system exhaust will lighten it up a lot. Especially on the rear. |

| Getting a Li-Fe battery will immediately shed 10 lbs.
However, a long term cheaper mod would be for some of you old porkers to shed the 40+ lbs you're carrying around your midriff. ha-ha-ha

| I know my Trail 90's would greatly appreciate the rider dropping a few pounds... They just don't have the horsepower they did back when I was in college and MUCH thinner |

I have put too much time and investment into getting like this if you think for a moment I would squander all that time and effort!!! Not to mention Burgers and chocolate!!! |

| Pipe and battery are probably least expensive significant weight loss at ~$28.00/lb. Remove the tail "thing" behind the seat. ~5 lbs., $0.00. Do you need both stands? Remove one (or both) ~5 - 15 lbs., $0.00. Remove rear fender extension ~ 1 lb., $0.00. I don't like the weight either but can't see eliminating anything or spending so much for so little, percentage that is. 20/550 = ~3.6%

| But you lose some weight and add on a lil bit of horses to your SWing. To me that's improving the P-T-W ratio... But as said above, the rider has to shed off that unwanted lbs to reduce the overall weight... I need to shed off lots too... |

| Thanks for all your responses. Unfortunately, or fortunately, I do not carry much weight. Just wanted to know if anyone had tried anything to lighten the swing. |
