| Good idea to have the Voltmeter on a switchable feed.
I have my single LED voltage monitor wired direct to the low beam hot wire (IIRC) and do find it a bit annoying when it flashes all manner of colors every time use the high beam.
It does tend to cause undue concern when the LED color varies ever so slightly with the load demands. As informative as it is it's just one more cause for anxiety at times. A switchable feed would rectify that problem
Now assuming that you remember to switch it ON... |

Not to be demeaning, but I would think most Swing owners would have no use for a voltmeter, unless they understand what it represents and how to interpret its readings. I have to admit I would simply be happy knowing I was getting a positive charge. The amount would be irrelevant to my wee brain. That said, I don't want too much visual input when I'm riding other than road and ambient conditions. Even the revs are an irrelevance really, (for me that is.) |

| I would have thought it would go well in conjunction with an ammeter.

| I had a battery monitor on two of my previous bikes, it was made for microlight aircraft and it just showed red/yellow/green depending on what was going on in the system. It was very neat and fitted into a small hole ~12mm. I haven't fitted it to the SWing as I'm not sure that it's worth the bother. I am not sure what I would do if it showed a red light whilst riding as there's not much to turn off on my bike ! |

| Hopefully a manual will be arriving in the not too distant future, they are not available over the counter in the UK. |

| I've had a brand new MotoMeter analogue voltmeter installed in a drawer at home for the last 20 years or so, complete with a matching analogue clock. I never did get round to putting them on my BMW R80 GS, or the R100 GS PD I had around that time. They're still in the clear plastic boxes saying they were manufactured in West Germany. |

| Meldrew, Better get on to the Beemer owners as I'm sure some-one will be looking for the clocks as the voltmeter is prone to disintegrating !! |
