| Nice ride I've got to take mine out of the city soon on to the open roads and enjoy it more. Did you have to pay at those tolls? |

| Yeah, I bet crossing that bridge is well scary when windy How many times during that trip did you have to take evasive action due to some Numpty? You were cautious behind that pick up van on what looks like hill start (about 11:30) I seem to meet some Numpty on every trip out! |

| The journey was pretty uneventful to be honest.
The bridge was very windy and wished for a large wagon to drive at the side of me.
The hill you mention is pretty steep and i am always wary, either in a car or on the scooter, of vehicles rolling back before setting off, and, when cars are turning into the road they swing wide to avoid the wall so I tend to give them room. |

| Great video Paul. Every time I've crossed the Humber Bridge going north into God's own country, it's been OK. On the way back south (back into exile in Lincolnshire), I've found myself leaning to the left, against the wind. I guess it's 'cos the wind's coming off the sea - but it can't always be an east wind can it!! Wonder what the toll will be for two-wheelers if and when they get round to sorting it out?

| Paul, do you ever get over to HAWES?. It is usually a Saturday rideout for me. I was there last Saturday. Stocking up on Wensleydale Cheese. That camera looks the business.Although in Lancashire, i must admit Yorkshire has the best Biking roads. |

| Your not the couple my son in law and I met a couple of times last year at Hawes are you. I recall they were riding a Burgman 650 and Burgman 400. My son in law has the Burgman650. We had a pleasant time chatting about the bikes, and next time we went we met them again. |

| On local TV tonight - tolls on the Humber bridge to be reduced, and bikes and scooters free!! Means you could do your circuit a little bit cheaper next time Paul!! |

Done a quick detour through Hawes today, weather cold and drizzly and there were a few bikes parked up mainly Bee-Ems. The last time I was in Hawes was for a bike rally back in the 80's, and the club hired the village hall for the Saturday night for prize giving etc. Someone had booked a traditional jazz band to play, which I though rather a strange choice for a bunch of bikers. D'you know before that rally I never used to like jazz at all, and I came away from Hawes the next day f****** hating it! |

| I'm tempted out of Cumbria into North Yorkshire on a regular monthly basis, and heading back into Cumbria yesterday decided on a bit of a detour and a coffee stop in Hawes. However I didn't look at a road map and didn't have my sat nav, so I ended up doing the 'scenic route' to Hawes from Ripon. Still I hadn't been to Pateley Bridge, Grassington, and Kettlewell for years and the scenery was pretty stunning.
After my lengthy detour when I got to Hawes I didn't fancy stopping for coffee, Wensleydale cheese, or a even a length of handmade rope, so carried on to a hotel near Brough and had a full afternoon tea stretched out in front of a roaring log fire.
