| A couple of interesting opportunities for rides in the mid-south in 2012
- The National Cornbread Festival in South Pittsburg, TN - April 28-29, 2012 http://nationalcornbread.com/
- National Bannana Pudding Festival in Centerville, TN - no date yet, but likely in early October or late September of 2012 |

| In early July I'll be riding from Chico, CA to Crosby, North Dakota. The route I'm going will be about 4,000 miles with a detour in Nebraska. |

Are you taking a detour up into Manitoba? You'll be 90 minutes from the border at Pembina ND to my house in Winnipeg. Sorry BigBird. Not going north of the Border this time. Perhaps next year ^_^ |

Would love to be there but will be on a beach in Rocky Point Mexico during that time period!!! We can't be in two places at once. Here my brother and I are on the highway between Wickenburg and Phoenix in April 2012. I am on the SW. |

| I retired this March & have rode more in these last few months than in the the previous three years I have owned the SW.
Last October I rode from Erwin Tennesse to Zephyrhills Florida. Left the bike in Florida for the winter. After retiring we traveled to Florida & stayed for a couple of months & rode the bike back to Tennessee around 700 miles. I drove US 301 then US 441 thru the mountains of North Carolina what a beautiful ride.
After a couple of weeks decided to travel to Gatlinburg Tennsee & stayed a couple of days. Around 200 miles.
After a couple of more weeks decided to travel to Newbern Tennesse to visit my daughter. Around 500 miles one way.
When I arrived in Newbern my son-in-law suggested we tour the Ozarks so we drove 500 miles in two days touring the Ozarks, again a beautiful drive.
Left Newbern Tn & drove to our home in Erwin Tennessee another 500 miles.
I realize this is small mileage to some, but to me it was huge.
Without the Corbin seat I do not think I would have made it.
Ernie

Congrats on your retirement and your mobility on that scooter. It is good to get out there. Those are very respectful miles for a maxi scooter. The summer has just begun! Wind that thing up and ride it out here to the PNW. |

| Larry I would love to tour the PNW. Maybe this fall when it is not so hot. While in Newbern Tennesse I rode a Canam Spyder RT. When taking curves you steer like a car no leaning. It matters not if you ride solo or two up you can not tell the difference. If my knees go bad it maybe of more interest, but now I will stick with the SW. See picture of me & my wife below. Ernie |

That is a nice looking bike and did you say the eye candy on the back is your wife? I rode one of those three wheeled contraptions too. Fun. I put a side car on a maxi scooter and it turned it into a lawn mower. I won't do that again. Well if you are looking for a riding wonderland... this is a good start. If you don't want to ride that far, put the SW on a trailer and tote it behind ya.... when you get here, then take it down to see Mt. St. Helens.... go over the North Cascades Pass..... the view of Deception Pass is incredible. On the way here, stop by Yellowstone, but don't forget the south Utah and Arizona National Parks on the way too. Your wife would love the San Juan Islands. Time is a-wasting. PS. This place is the place to go when it does get hot down there..... it is always pleasant here in the summer time. A paradise on the San Juans for sure. |

| Why do I not see more people from California commenting on this site. I know for a fact, that here in Santa Barbara since I bought my scooter three years ago there are many more super scooters (none as nice as mine of course) in town but every time I track one down in a parking lot and leave my business card I never get a return call. Maybe it his some thing to do with my smell? Ha Ha Any one up for a trip on the first week of Aug. I have a week of vacation and plan on ridding up to Yosemite if it is not to hot. I promise to go slow if that is your speed, but not the speed limit please. |
