For all of you Phoenix area riders, if you are looking for someplace to ride on Sunday, October 16th, consider attending the Phoenix ride for kids. This is a Honda sponsored charity ride to support the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. It is an escorted ride (State Police escort).

Location:
Desert Ridge High School
10045 E Madero Ave.
Mesa, AZ 85212

Registration opens at 8:00am, ride leaves at 10:00am, rain or shine. Ride lasts between 1.5 to 2 hours. Minimum donation is $35, and includes beverages, breakfast pastries, and a light lunch when the ride returns to the High School.

I have attended the last two years. Last year I rode the SWing, and was the only scooter at the event (around 200 bikes). I think we can do better than that.

If you want more information, go to www.rideforkids.org or call 800-253-6530. This is a national program involving about 40 cities nationwide. Phoenix is one of the last due to the summer heat.

See you there! small moped

Thanks for posting this, Gary! I am in Tempe most weekends visiting my fiancée. I think we can be there. Does the $35 cover both riders or do you have to donate for each one?
