V belt light Empty
PostSubject: V belt light   V belt light I_icon_minitimeThu Apr 28, 2011 12:37 pm

Hi all noticed in the last few days my v belt light has come on when doing 70 mph my belt has only 7000miles on I'm running a mallossi variator with mallossi 21 g rollers I've had them in for 600 miles with no v belt light on I don't understand why it should come on now if it didn't before I'm very puzzled I've got 24g rollers which I might have to try if the light keeps coming on thanks for any help

Sounds like it got over rev'd. Easy to do with lighter rollers installed. I had a J-Cost installed in my 2008 for 10K miles and the darn V-Light was always on. Got tired of reseting it so I just left it on.

Cheers for the reply dennis I've just installed the 24g rollers and the swing is now alot smoother and there doesn't seem to be much difference in performance I think I now have more midrange and the revs have droped from 6000 revs to 5500 at 70 mph so I'm very pleased with the results
