Hi, Gang.  Happy New Year to y'all.

I'm still learning about my Swing, but loving it.  Couple questions:

Since the entire drive train technology is totally new to me (600,000+ miles on 'standard' motorcycles):  Does taking advantage of the 'engine braking' as opposed to using the brakes more cause any additional wear on any parts of the drive train?

Are the handlebars adjustable?

TIA.  Ron

PS.  I love this bike, and plan on taking riding it cross country in May/June it.  I'll be joining the 2025 Run For The Wall Southern Route Ride from Ontario, CA to DC, then returning home here in AZ via TN & MI.  5,000+ miles.  I can't wait.  BTW I may keep the Swing at my brother's place in MI and ride my Goldwing back to AZ.  The Wife is wanting to start riding with me again, and with my aftermarket lumbar/back rest extension, there's not room for her back there.

As CVTs go, there really isn’t any ‘engine braking’ that would cause wear on the drivetrain components (meaning the rider really doesn’t have any influence of engine braking vs a bike with a clutch where you can engine brake)- the components are pretty stout, and it’s important to change the drive belt even 16K miles (some here will extend that to 20K, but I would not). As far as the bars being adjustable, I would think the only potential adjustment would be moving the bars fore and aft if you loosened the brackets holding the bars in place, but any adjustment would require removal of the black handlebar plastics and then they would need to stay off since they only go on with the bars in a particular position.

I was able to raise/rotate my bars fwd. some, but it did require some custom bending/shimming of fwd. attach bracket, zip tying upper section, etc., etc. to get plastic cover to fit fairly good. Gap from dash to handlebar cover increased slightly, but overall, well worth for me.
